The Mountains Do Call: Colorado
Where the road meets the sky, cascading layers, and moments of stillness. Nature’s medicine.
It is no mystery that Colorado has a reputation for beauty, but it isn't until you visit for yourself, lay your eyes upon the 14,000 foot mountains, that the true magic of the state appears. I was fortunate enough to experience Colorado multiple times, and with each visit, I dove deeper and deeper into it's offerings. There is a reason that nature and mountains seem to call to us; it's because they remind us that we are part of the natural world (and only a very small part). We tend to think that being the most dominant species means we should be disconnected somehow, that we are separate from nature, but it’s where we came from. We are organic and spending time in nature provides benefits that are not always tangible. Sometimes, it heals us at our very core.
Colorado took my breath away and my photos don't do it justice, but I take them anyway so that I can recall even a fraction of the overwhelming beauty this state has to offer.
Below are some of my favorite images.
